Refugee voices

Session presented by the Adult Multicultural Education Service (AMES)

The refugee journey is a very tormenting experience of threats, persecution and torture followed by a dangerous and inadequate services to fulfil basic needs in refugee camps. Despite this, refugees fight to maintain their dignity, their families, their communities and their culture.

Although resettlement is the best option available to them, it doesn't come without challenges. Some of the challenges are more debilitating than the refugee experience itself. All those factors have profound impact in the health and wellbeing of refugees. Nevertheless, refugees work hard to rebuild their lives and be a positive addition to their new country.

In this session, refugees speak about their journey to resettlement.
