Managing multiculturalism in the workforce

As our health workforces become more diverse, particularly in cultural terms, traditional workforce management methodologies and practices will be challenged and appear less effective or even problematic.

This session presents ways to draw upon the opportunities inherent in a diverse workforce. Experts in modern multicultural workforce practices respond to a series of tricky questions, including:

  • How can organisations and HR practitioners navigate different meanings and interpretations of ‘work' from within the workplace?
  • What practical and active measures can be taken to support mutual accommodation of different meanings around work?
  • What current legislation supports these processes and how can organisations best respond to this legislation?
